Multi-Platinum Record Producer- Music Business Expert - Author of Top Selling Music
Business References and Courses.
Hello. My name is Moses Avalon. For over 15 years I made my living sitting behind a large pane of glass. It's the glass you see in a recording studio, the one that separates the recording artist from people like me: the recording engineer and the producer. I have worked with hundreds of recording artists in this way, cutting their demos and seeing the hope in their eyes, right through the final mixes of songs that became huge hits for them. Through it all, I have always found this "separating glass" the perfect analogy for a business that works so hard at separating the artist from their money. Since 2002 I have had the honor of teaching some of music's best and brightest professionals how to sidestep many of the financial landmines in this complex, changing business. The medium has been an event I host called the Confessions of a Record Producer Workshop , which unites professionals from both the business and creative sides of music production for an empowering, comprehensive briefing in modern music business success strategies and which the State Bar of California has accredited with 14 Continuing Legal Education Credits . It's called the "confessions" workshop partly because it's synergistic with the title of my first book , which is currently recommended reading in over 40 schools worldwide, but also because for two-days, established music business professionals sit shoulder to shoulder and share their individual experiences. Lawyers learn from artists and vise versa. This forum delivers a product unique to music business education: a modern perspective that replaces impractical, dry, outdated theory, with case-in-point facts about how things really work. Since its inception I have received many requests to travel with the Workshop and share its unique content. Thus far this Workshop has been delivered in whole or in part at Harvard School of Law, NYU, Berklee School of Music, and Loyola. However, time and logistics have not allowed me to reach everyone. Instead, I have waited for web technology to catch up with my vision for delivering the Confessions Workshop on the internet. Because graphics and bandwidth issues have improved greatly this will not be a boring static presentation, rather, you will feel as though you are actually sitting in a room experiencing the animated multi-media presentation with over 45 top music business professionals; signed recording artists, platinum producers, seasoned lawyers, managers and educators, each learning how to maximize their revenue in this business of music. You will hear their questions, their arguments and personal episodes, all in the comfort of your home and at times of your choosing. Please take a moment to read the comments by the seasoned professionals who have participated in the Confessions Workshop. We are very proud to display their thoughts and feel they are among our greatest assets. Then begin your own experience by registering now . I hope to hear from each and every one of you and I thank you in advance for choosing this path for your music business enlightenment and empowerment.
